over the last 4 world cups, the US team has made it past the round-robin stage twice.  while a 50% success rate doesn't put the yanks anywhere near italy or brazil, that can't be called losing "in the first round like they always do".

I think the last WC was such a debacle that we're all frustrated...

But the win against Spain and some life against Brazil- albeit in a meaningless competition- are encouraging.. The win against Honduras was pretty clutch

Its difficult to qualify (look at country that shall not be mentioned in SOuth America)... we'll have to see what kind of draw the US gets and whether we can make it to the second round..

Davies was not driving by the way..but why was he out at 3:15 am? .. its a big actually huge game tonight for Costa Rica and Honduras....
