i know that usually i only come in here for half naked guys parading around with their balls . . . but i did find it amusing that this:  http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/37491843/ns/sports-world_cup/
appeared on the same day in the news when this: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/06/AR2010060603321.html  did.
just one of the latter will cause the former to never occur.

I have made no secret about my man crush for Wesley Sneijder.  I would love to see him at OT.

Please, please, please make this happen....

Wesley Sneijder is a £25 million transfer target for Manchester United

does barcelona just have money to burn? not sure why they'd spend £30m+ on another small central midfielder...

Uh, I guess they don't....

Barcelona currently unable to pay wages

34 days until the Prem...

Is the biggest loser of the WC Torres or Liverpool?

Torres performance may put his move away from Anfield in doubt, and if he does move, surely it won't be for Chelsea's original £50 million offer.

Diego Forlan has to be the biggest winner.  And that hurts me to say.

biggest loser has to be torres. liverpool would love to keep him, at least the flag burning fans would.

biggest winner has to be whoever was going to buy him. the kid has just a ton of miles on him

but seriously, forlan was great

another big winner in the summer (though it has nothing to do with the world cup): dan gosling

basically he'll make an extra £500k a year while injured because everton screwed up.

Yeah, but he has to play for Newcastle.  We'll call it a wash.

He's only 32, which is not too old to play in Europe, and I'm not sure he's a rock star away from the Meadowlands (or where ever they play now).  I doubt most New Yorkers will recognize him.

they have their own arena. every hispanic person in new york will worship him. where could he realistically play?

if new yorkers not recognizing people is the measuring stick, fine youre right there. i mean samuel l. jackson rides the subway
