Shameless plug....of my band's gig..

My band Cartel will be playing at the Velvet Lounge tomorrow Friday March 26... we should be on stage at about 10pm....another band called Marcia Brady will aslo be on hand...

Is that at 5ive?  I went once with Rachel, got in for free, and ended up dancing with on the stage after the band finished to Joy Division's Transmission and The Beatles Tomorrow Never Knows.  Great time.

That's cool Bags, if we weren't playing I'd probably be going to see Chris Rock too... I think as it stands we will be second in line and I think we should be on stage tentatively at 10pmish..
 
 It's all originals, no cover songs. It's hard to describe our music...I hear some things in my head that other band members don't and so forth... it's hard to say..I think we may have songs that bring bands like Elbow, South, Longwave, Doves, etc. to mind... it'd be interesting if some of you guys could make it... I'd like to hear from you lot the good, bad and ugly about our music/performance...

He's at Constitution Hall -- three dates, I think. Wed - Friday. I didn't catch it, a friend did.  Should be fun.
 
 The ticket says 8:00 p.m., but we have no idea if that's doors, or actual show time, etc.  So I have no idea when we might get out...

 as of now Bags, Jaguar, Mark, Lulu and I think Kurosawa are all maybes... if a singer with squiffy hair can't get Lulu to show I think It'll be a gig without ye forum lizards..
 
 well if any of you show-up remember to mention "Cartel" at the door...some of the gig funds (if any) will be used for the band fund...for website, merch, demos, etc..

It's friday and it's an early show... We are second on the bill and I reckon our time slot will be from 10-10:45...  the band's name is Cartel and although our music is twangless it may be of your liking...then again it's britpoppy so disregard my comment... just come down for a Guiness and all will be alright...

Hope that some of you guys made it to the gig last night...we packed the Velvet "Elefant style"... all in all we got 131 people at the door... we raised some 500quid so that should put us on the way to head up to NYC to record our demo.... thanks to any who may have been there last night!!!
