The Woggles New Guitarist
« on: October 20, 2003, 03:56:00 pm »
This wont mean much to the BritPop devotees on this board, but The Woggles who are playing a couple dates this week with Los Straigtjackets have announced that Jeff Walls lead guitar player for Guadalcanal Diary is now playing guitar with the band.

 The upcoming dates...
22 Wed. The North Star, Philadelphia, PA w/ Los Straitjackets
23 Thu. Fletchers, Baltimore, MD w/ Los Straitjackets
24 Fri. The South Paw, Brooklyn, NY w/ Los Straitjackets
25 Sat. Iota Cafe, Arlington, VA w/ Los Straitjackets

The Woggles are proud to announce that long time pal & producer, Jeff Walls is joining the band full time and is taking on all lead finger fretting duties from the recently departed George Montague Holton III. For those of you not familiar with Jeff, he's produced various Woggles records since the band first started recording back in 1990. He worked with the band on their recent full length RAGGED BUT RIGHT, handling production and contributing keyboard parts. He's also sat in from time to time at live shows and has always been considered part of the Woggles family. For all these reasons it seemed only natural for him to be part of the Woggles ongoing adventure.

Prior to the Woggles, Jeff was lead guitarist in Georgia's seminal Guadicanal Diary, releasing four albums on Elektra, and afterwards he was the driving force behind Hillbilly Frankenstein, a band that melded together rockabilly, instrumental, garage and even lounge elements that was very popular regionally for a number of years.
