Excited to read this oral bio about one of my favorites…..it’s rare in Argentina to have books about bands…usually very small editions and hard to get in the USA…in fact this is the first oral biography I have ever come across about an Argentine act

Ramping up excitement for their September 15 show at Lincoln

I've read about six of these, but this gives me some ideas of ones to put in the queue
I can't believe I've not read "get in the van" yet

next up is Cinema Speculation by Quentin Tarantino

Can't believe Steve Jones's or Matlock's book didn't make this list

Went to the Arlington public library sale…had been a few years…maybe 5.

Sign of the times I guess but they no longer have CDs, LPs or DVDs.

I didn’t stick around too long but picked up

John Swed: Alan Lomax- The man who recorded the world
Geoff Emerick- Here, There and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles (Foreword by Elvis C.)
Bob Dylan - The Nobel Lecture
Jorge Luis Borges - Obra Poética

As usual place was a zoo of mostly annoying resellers scanning every book

My last time going I think…

I read Portnoy’s Complaint by Philip Roth a few days ago. Wow. Definitely not recommending it to my mother!

Currently reading Graham Swift’s Last Orders…I love Graham Swift..

Probably another Roth book after that…who knows…

Man I finished Last Orders….three days…

I know Swift said it was a comedy but it made me sad…having said that what a wonderful book…those key almost spontaneous decisions one makes that define our entire lives…

Kind of curious to see how they could compress it into a movie….would have to be a really tight screenplay…

Also makes me think of a few friends I hardly ever see anymore…
