I can't do it.  A friend is having a fundraiser that's really important to him, and I'm staying home for it, in fact -- I was supposed to be in Jersey, but I'm heading up Fri. morning now.  Just have to repeat the internal chant, "friends are more important, friends are more important."  They are, actually, but I cringe when I think about hearing stories from the show later...

I hear ya about conflicts. I was supposed to work (and see) another show. Both shows start at the same time! Argh!
