Wrens Roll Call
« on: September 08, 2005, 09:46:00 am »
Hasn't been much chatter about this show...I'm planning to go but haven't gotten a ticket yet.  Anyone think that's gonna be a problem?

It's only an additional $3.75 to buy through ticketmaster (it's a lot based on the price of the ticket, but as the ticket is still less than $16, it just feels do-able), so I think I'll go ahead and buy online -- I've NEVER done that for a Black Cat show!!!

They were great last time. They better not sell out before I get there.

I think Andy Zipf is one of the best local acts in the city, personally.  Sort of a blend between Jeff Buckley and Richard Ashcroft.

Yeah - I think I'm going to avoid any risk and pay the TM convenience fee. Saw them at Intonation and they were quite good. It'll be nice to see them without 100 degree heat and a blistering sun.

Oh wait - this will be at the Black Cat...forget what I said about the blistering sun  :)

Anyone know the story with Black Cat will call?  Do I need my TicketBastard confirmation number (as you do at 9:30) or the credit card I used to charge the ticket?  I usually don't bring my whole wallet to the club...

 Thanks

Andy is a good guy and a hard working musician. Catch him if you can, very unique. Amazing strong vocals too.

Eh, Andy is not all that unique. More singer/songwriter DC-style. The Nein are better, a b it more interesting pop.
