Well, they're different types of excitement.  Still, you're right, there's nothing quite like being there in person.  At either type of event.

I still have a hard time saying "Nextel Cup" though. [/b]
I bet it's a lot easier than saying, "right turn"

I even bought a bottle of wine to celebrate me not going tonight.

REPORT FROM THE FRONT-LINE:
I have just returned from picking up my will call tickets.  It is cold and rainy.  There is already a line of approximately 20 (foolish) people waiting to get in the club.  There is also already a short line to get will-call tickets, though it cycles through quickly.  There is a big red SOLD OUT sign.
Roadies are moving lots of stuff, including moving *out* what appeared to be 9:30's big hanging speakers.  (Is that possible.)

Summary of report: It is cold and rainy.  People are silly.

My SO picked up our tickets and reported the same thing.  People sitting in the rain, waiting to get in.  Ugh.    As of an hour ago, there are still parking tickets left.  I was very glad to hear that.

Why, oh, why would someone wait to get in 930?  You can always push to the front if you're obsessive about it.  But it's not like there's a bad seat or something.  SIlly people in their silly wet sleeping bags wasting their silly sick days.

Maybe they are out-of towners who spent all their $$ on tickets and couldn't afford last minute DC hotel prices...

Just got back myself and I think pretty much all of them are out of towners.  I was thinking about staying out there but I'll pass.  Just hope it stops raining before 7.

This is a Bob Dylan and not Justin Timberlake show isn't it?

Did y'all see this in the FAQ?  8:00 is an early showtime!

Doors open at 7:00 and the show starts at 8:00.

I can't believe The Doors are opening for Bob Dylan.   :D

Why not...Morrisson would put on a livelier performance than Dylan.
