Thanks GGW.  Looks like waiting in the rain would be a bad idea then unless you are the first one in line.  After about three sales at the club you're pretty much outta luck.

I have doors at 7pm.
But with the will call line, it will be a mess for sure.

And then the original buyer/seller actually gets a refund on top! Scalpers probably hope for a cancellation.

But don't you have to have the original ticket to get a refund?

depends on how you bought it. . ticketmaster will just refund the money automatically if you bought it online, and there is no announced make-up date.

Thanks.  I may try to pick up my tickets tonight and avoid the will call line tomorrow.

Maybe sometimes - But when that Radiohead show @ Bullrun got cancelled I just received an automatic credit. My friend had paid big $$ to a broker & got screwed. No show - no refund - and nothing back from the broker.

I think ticketbastard may sometimes ask you to mail the tix back now, but I've received a refund from them without sending anything back - e.g., I've still got my unused Field fuckup Day ticket & I got the $$ back.

Speaking of which, my guess is he'll go on stage around 9:00, assuming no opener, and that the early time is because the club knows they have all will-calls to deal with.  Any comments from the powers that be?

It's all true - yes - it's all true.

Cash purchases are probably instructed to just go back to place of purchase for a refund, in which case - you'd need the original tickets.

I assure you however that scalpers aren't usually paying cash. Like this morning - NO cash changed hands. Just credit cards being charged. The same cards that would be refunded if Bob gets sick.
