Since I'm always the first guy to point out when I'm right, I'll be the first to point out that I really missed this one.  Lackey got rocked.

And I guess I should point out that Rhodes took only one week to blow his first save.  My instincts sense a trend, but my fantasy hopes rely on the alternative.

Bede, thanks for the heads up on the Avril Show.  I drove over there, but it was ridiculously crowded so I left.

the astros/cards series this week will hopefully send the cards to the top, and there is no way the reds and brewers will continue to win

Bartolo Colon's two victories helped me go 6-1 this week so i'm very happy about that. Mike Hampton though is not making my week 2 start off very good.

Russ Ortiz made me feel the same pain last week.

The Angels staff has seemed pretty inconsistent thus far. Congrats to Eric DuBose, who put up another "nightmare" start for the O's; proving that spring training is, well, spring training.

I think that can be said for every staff thus far (except Florida, who have been salid in every game thus far).

And perhaps the Cardinals, who have been uniformly bad.

yeah that complete game by morris was horrible, and the 6 inning 1 run start by Marquis was just pitiful

Well, Morris lowered his era to a respectable 4.20,and Marquis is an incredible 5.56, which is just below the staff era of 5.43. I guess those starts helped a ton, because the rest of the starting staff doesn't have an era under 6.00!

the stats are much worse than the games actually seemed, I followed all of the games, and while the brewers games were horrific, things have settled down a lot, in a couple of weeks I think they will be fine, Williams came back too early, Suppan has only had 1 start, Carpenter had trouble in his first inning back after a couple of years but was fine for most of the game

once the pitching is better they should go on a nice little run, the offense certainly is not having any problems

No, I meant this Billy Koch:

 2/3 IP, 4 Hits, 4 Runs, 4 ER, 1 Walk, 0 SO, 2 HRs for an 11.25 ERA

for his second blown save this season (though he was only credited with one because he gave up the first 4 runs, but not the tying run last week).
