So I want to support the artist and was even happier to see a clear vinyl with an extra CD both signed for only $26
but the shipping was $21...so $47 to make this purchase

grr that pretty much makes me not want to buy it.  Does it typically cost that much to ship vinyl overseas?
Feel like it would be better to just paypal $5 to arlo parks as they would get more money

Guess I could go to Bezo's house of sin and get the red vinyl edition for $20 including shipping

(which is what I did)

Yeah shipping has gone way up everywhere

I think as of a year ago to ship 1 LP from US to UK or Europe was $24! I pretty much have stopped buying albums from Europe

Thank god for media mail within the US

Same thing with that Killing joke / Hooky release
I just can't justify buying something where most of the money goes to shipping

Ignoring the shipping for a moment, that ep is ~$35 for 3 songs. Kinda pricey.

By all means, it is growing (but still losing badly to streaming).

2020 Year End Music Industry Revenue Report

- Music revenue increased by 9.2 percent to $12.2 billion in 2020
- 83% of all revenue comes from streaming (5th consecutive year of growth)
- Physical media sales remained flat, but vinyl passed CDs for the first time since CDs took over vinyl

What's the most you've ever dropped on a single record? Not talking box sets as they tend to be expensive anyway.

I just balked at paying $40 for an ep. But I'm guilty of paying $250 for a record (only $100 was mine, but still....).

OMG I want to say I have paid $100 many times

But the only record I can actually find of doing so is $100 for the PIL Metal Box..the tin

Just not sure how much higher I have gone...

I mean I used to buy a ton of stuff on eBay but don’t have access to that info and just can’t remember

What record and you split the purchase?
