Jack White doesn’t always do what he says he is doing…drives audiophiles nuts

To finish, hopefully, if you gave me a choice between owning the master tapes or a test pressing I would take the tapes any day but the master tapes are incredibly rare.

Many tapes were destroyed in a Cali fire so they don’t exist…many were lost over time

But I really don’t think record companies made a habit of sending copies of master tapes

On the one hand Let It Be is one of my least favorite Beatles albums but on the other hand this vinyl 5LP box set looks incredible. Is it worth plunking down $200 tho?  ???

interesting, but not on my list

but never knew about all the Glyn Johns stuff and how those versions got out

this was a great tid bit too
Martin commented: "I produced the original, and what you should do is have a credit saying 'Produced by George Martin, over-produced by Phil Spector'."

Yeah, I wish they could release the Glyn Johns LP separately instead of forcing you to buy an entire box set.

That’s really the only part of it that I want. The rest is likely worth a listen, but just one.

B.R.M.C announce three record boxset 20th anniversary release of their debut with a new disc of unreleased demos... sounds interesting goes to check price... $129.99 for... i'll pass

new bowie boxset covering the albums between 1992-2001 including the unreleased TOY album going for 399.98 vinyl and 159.98 CD
the TOY release runs 124.98 vinyl and 39.98 CD

and for all the decrying of what happens in the aftermarket for limited edition vinyl from them, Third Man Record and Paul Weller sure know how to fuel that... a limited edition Yellow Vinyl single available only one day in the new London store is now being listed for hundreds of pounds..

Been waiting for this for a while. Have the first 4 era boxsets.

EDIT: This price is wild since Era 2-4 I got brand new for ~$150 each (vinyl).

Did you get shipping confirmation or something on yours? I was cleaning out my email folders yesterday and was reminded I ordered this so weird you mentioned it today.
