To finish, hopefully, if you gave me a choice between owning the master tapes or a test pressing I would take the tapes any day but the master tapes are incredibly rare.

Many tapes were destroyed in a Cali fire so they don’t exist…many were lost over time


But I really don’t think record companies made a habit of sending copies of master tapes

On the one hand Let It Be is one of my least favorite Beatles albums but on the other hand this vinyl 5LP box set looks incredible. Is it worth plunking down $200 tho?

Yeah, I wish they could release the Glyn Johns LP separately instead of forcing you to buy an entire box set.
