Tue - either Savages or Richard Youngs (depending on set times, I might try to do both)
Ill say hi if you are at Youngs!  It should be fairly early (8 pm doors, only two artists. Also both will probably play relatively short sets).

Edit: Oh the 930 show is fairly early too... You probably can make Savages then to Young while skipping Terrence's set.  I am mainly going for Terrence.

Usually autumn is jam-packed with absolutely tons of shows that I'm dying to see...but it seems like there's a bunch of bands skipping DC this year. Was hoping My Bloody Valentine wouldn't be one of those bands too, but you can add them to the Arctic Monkeys, Peter Hook, The Stooges, etc.

I'll probably hit Richard Youngs again and definitely Scout Niblett.

I know who you saw! Just commenting on the amount of post-Hopscotch bands touring through DC this week!

Richard Youngs plays for a while.

Not sure why i was thinking he would play 40 minutes or less...

Can't believe that was the first time I've seen X. I swear, I've had tickets for their last three or four DC-area shows, and missed every single one.  Good stuff...those guys are the real deal.

Blondie was pretty blah after, I thought...but that's a tough act to follow.

unfortunately I agree...It was fun to see her, but it was pretty boring and the mix pretty muddy
I did really like Atomic and the other guitarist was kicking the jams pretty hard
I really didn't like the new songs at all

I'm not too sorry I left for Blondie then. I saw them in 1997 and I'm glad I checked that box, but after X I just wanted to eat some dinner. I enjoyed X tremendously and thought that after the first few songs they really put on what was one of my favorite shows I've seen them do. Great setlist. Nice choice of tunes from "Under the Big Black Sun", which is the LP I go back to the most.

I was real tempted by that Blondie/X show but couldn't muster the energy to do it because I saw X with the Fags about 7 or 8 years ago and they were incredible and then again with the Rollins Band about 3 or 4 years ago and they were pretty awful

Blondie is just not that good live..they never where!

and lets remember Debbie Harry is 68!

its nice to see Clem Burke... he's a really good drummer actually.. has even drummed for Bob Dylan...
