I was blown away by British Sea Power. They were insane.

Well, that's quite the blast from the past.

I remember always being confused by the Mankie vs Markie thing, and who was who. And for some reason, I've often connected Markie to Julian (since I was pretty sure Mankie was the guy from Manchester who was married to Poorlulu).

I thought the Libertines were fine, but it was British Sea Power that were fantastic.

Markie is the PHD scientist and off-road cyclist from the UK married to poorlulu, who is from Scotland. They live in Massachusetts with their lovely twin children now.

Mankie is the car salesman/British Naval veteran and road cyclist from Manchester who was divorced and remarried to an Irish woman. After leaving the area, he relocated to Ireland and then Florida, if I recall. Not sure what he's up to these days.

I'm not sure if either of them have a connection to Julian, though I'm sure he could tell you.

Great use of your board bios archive.

Still debating whether to do one/both of these shows. I think I like the second half of the album better, so maybe Sunday night?
