I loved that I went to a show where absolutely no one held up their bright ass smartphone to take a picture or video.  Jeff Mangum show was great.  More artists and bands should enforce that rule.

I went to the Friday show. Was way in the back of the balcony and could barely see Mr. Mangum, unfortunately, but I had a great time. I know it's only February, but I'll go out on a limb and say it'll be the concert of the year for me. The show exceeded my expectations, which were already really high.

I don't know what people are smoking when it comes to Kurt Vile.... show tonight was atrocious.... would be surprised if its not the worse show I catch this year.


Now Thurston Moore.... thats what I'm talking about... harp/violin/2 acoustic guitars/drums lineup never rocked so hard.

of course many DC "hipsters" left after Kurt Vile... maybe they were depressed at how shitty it was?

I saw Kurt Vile open for Espers once. He was just awful. Then his fans would not stfu during Espers set. Don't believe the hype with that guy.
