I've seen the JAMC about 3 times. First was in 1992: excellent. 1994: very good. 1998: trainwreck. I bet in that the time that's passed it'll be a pretty decent show.

I have only seen their first DC show in 1985. I am guessing it will be quite different than back then.  I find that nostalgia shows most often are beyond awful..  And I said I wasn't going to do anymore after seeing Sisters of Mercy a couple of years ago.  Hopefully this one will be at least half way decent.   They have quite a catalog of songs to choose from that i Have not heard yet.  It would be cool if they could have a true reunion with Douglas Hart and Bobby Gillepsie.

I agree that most nostalgia shows are disappointing. Perfect cases in point were Swervedriver and Urge Overkill earlier this year. That said, Scratch Acid was GREAT and gave me hope. Also bummed that the show sold out. That's great for the band but I avoid sold-out shows at 9:30 like the plague. Any/every other club in the city, it's not that big of a hassle. At the 9:30, ugh.
