I was on the floor on the right. Had a beer spilled on me, countless people who never learned how to respect others' space nearby and a sloppy drunk girl grind vigorously up against a friend ruining "Limit to your Love" for her. Great times!
My patience for sold out Club shows is wearing super thin.

Possibly Bill Kouligas Wednesday
Give/Priests/Xanax/Hand Grenade Job Friday.
Either !!! or Flown Saturday.

Typical DC Crowd.  I don't know how many people I have picked up and moved who have pushed their way to the front and then stand right in front of me.  Or the people at Rufus Wainwright who talked the whole time in my ear.  If you want to talk at the show go in the back.  or better yet don't.

the terminal 5 show review had similar instances - i could see how his music style attracts a bit of that crowd. not sure if you saw, but npr recorded last night, so look out for that.  should be less of a douchey experience.

Yeah I caught Bob's tweet. Looking forward to checking that out.

It didn't feel sold out in the balcony.

Mon 5/13 - Ghost BC @ 9:30 Club
Wed 5/15 - Gorod @ Empire (maybe)
Fri 5/17 - likely Hush Sound @ U Hall (early) then Give/Priests/etc. @ Comet (late)
Sat 5/18 - either Paramore @ FSS or Borracho @ the Pinch (or both?)
Sun 5/19 - Kvelertak @ R&R Hotel

then next week is Lady Lamb the Beekeeper, Lorelei, and then Maryland DeathFest.

I think I'll be at Dead Confederate at Black Cat Friday. I'm pretty psyched Arbouretum got added as the opener! I am also stoked about the free Borracho beer party at the Pinch. I have not been there yet and this certainly seems like the right night to go! Weed is Weed opening up will be hilarious too! Sunday Kvelertak show will be a hot mess but 'm sure I will make the best of it. I have not done 3 shows in 3 nights in some time.

last night: Digitalism @ USMH (entirely enjoyable.  didn't have the urgency of their DC9 show but it was a good 1:15 of pogo'ing).

sat: !!! @ BC.

(great, now i'm talking in hieroglyphics...)

I need to see if they were added to Annapolis as well,  they are great live.

Edit: probably not as some band called the Dirty Names is also on the bill

Can someone give me a ballpark idea of what the times for this show will be? Trying to juggle early evening plans but I also have to have my son to a soccer game at 7:30 am across town Saturday morning.

It looks like it will be a "two trips to DC" (work then Comet) type of day... There is no way i will stay in the city wasting time after work before it starts.  Unless that Haunted Leather show is earlier... I should check that.

Thanks for the info. Is Priests the headliner/12:30 band? How much of a dummy would I be to go to this show but leave before they (or whoever the final band is) played? I have to be up and coherent at 6:30 am Saturday morning and then have a busy day of domestic stuff.
