Yeah, had to check where this was, in case they were coming a bit closer like Philly :( but NYC is too far. Actually they played a festival set where I was this summer, but I was not going to pay 110$ for the only decent band that day.

It's a benefit for FRESHFARM's Matching Dollars program,  which helps make fresh food more affordable to customers who spend their government nutritional benefits (SNAP, WIC, SNFMNP) at market by matching purchases.

just to explain the high price tag.

I saw PG in 2007 or 2008 at Univ of Maryland.

I saw him a few times too. I was surprised that he was not particularly tight on solo piano. I know he is a composer, but I expected that songs he wrote 30 years ago had many years of practice. In any case, I still prefer to see the composer playing than a "cover" artist, as we would say for rock music.

I would prefer to separate the idea of going to shows and supporting foundations, but I guess I am free to go or not.

Anyone else going to Hampdenfest? I am shooting for getting there right before War on Women, and leaving after Raindeer (unless the unannounced 6pm band is awesome).  This was a lot of fun last year.

The schedule:

11:15: School Of Rock
12:00: The Debut of The Hampdenfest Fashion Show
1:00: Cigarbox Planetarium
2:00: Balkan Falcon
3:00: Monster Museum
4:00: Introducing HAMPDEN'S GOT TALENT!
5:00: Raindeer
6:00: Special Surprise Guest TBA on 9/18

ATOMIC BOOKS STAGE (36th and Falls)
11:15: Short Notice
12:00 Wet Brain
1:00: Second Best Westerns
2:00: War On Women
3:00: Silence Kid
4:00: Sick Thoughts
5:00: Big Mouth
6:00: Judge Mental

CHESTNUT STAGE (36th St. and Chestnut)
11:15: School Of Rock
12:00: Thee Lexington Arrows
1:00: The Stents
2:00: The Idle Gossip
3:00: Sweepstakes
4:00: Small Apartments

Sounds good.  I am trying to get there as early as possible, but what time I leave is out of my hands.  I would love to also see Wet Brain and Second Best Westerns.
