I don’t go back in time and judge all male bands from the 1970s - times where very different-but now...for newer bands there is no reason not to have women involved...it’s anachronistic not to.... there was some controversy over this very issue with David Byrne’s last touring band

When I see five guys on stage now I cannot help but think “how limiting” so moving forward I hope and expect bands will include women

Oh look, someone is signaling his virtue again in a hamfisted way that espouses tokenism.

That’s what I think...take it or leave it...next year is 2020...all guy bands are like fraternities and make no more sense than them

I refuse to listen to any band that doesn’t have at least one genderfluid individual and doesn’t have at least three non-white members (all different races, please). I won’t even listen to a duo — why so exclusatory? In this day and age!

He’s totally ruined Charmless Man by Blur for me. He’s all I think of every time it comes on.

No need for sausage parties with instruments in the modern age...then again rock has a long long history of misogyny so it’s hard to let go

I am glad there are more women in music both at concerts and in bands..
