Sleater Kinney on Friday.  Just relistened to the new album and it's not as bad as my first impressions, but i'm still not remotely excited.  Being at Anthem isn't helping.

Flipper with David Yow on Saturday. I am stoked.

I'm glad I saw them a bunch when I did. My favorite time is still when they opened for Belle and Sebastian in 2002, nobody knew they were opening, and there were like 40 people watching them and they shredded a bunch of the new songs from "One Beat". I still respect/like them, but they lost my favorite member and it's just not going to be the same. That being said, people that I know that have seen them lately say they're still great...just different.

My friend was super late and I missed them. I am still pretty pissed about it. I heard one note.

I need to re listen a few more times, first pass really turned me off

I remember a great shows at the cat in the 90s that melted my face, like a junkie I keep coming back for that and always being a little let down
although their 'comeback' at the club (with lizzo opening!) was I thought a lot of fun and a great show

I thought of coming up for S-K but like, apparently everyone else on here, the new album is such a turnoff. No issue with it being at Anthem because what venue a concert is at only impacts people who are trying to pass off their performative contrarianism as a sign of intelligence, but between the new album and the loss of a member, I can't be convinced to come even at the low ticket price.

Saw them enough times in their (near) prime.

The new album is unlistenable. Ugh.
