darkhorse candidate for next local band to make it "big" (i use the parentheses because i don't mean playing arenas, but i do think they have a shot at being beloved by hipsters): the childballads.
this is the new band from stewart lupton, formerly of jonathan fire*eater. they've played around for a while, but haven't had any recordings or even a web site.
fluxblog posted a song last month and it sounds pretty good.
their web site says they should have an album out in a few months, and i have a feeling that a lot of people reviewing records and deciding what gets hyped were among the few that were big jf*e fans.
