I'm thinking it was the hat.

This Irish folkie has lived in Greenwich Village for almost 50 years but he still speaks like he just got off the boat from Tiperrary. [/b]
That's some going seeing as Tipperary is an inland county.

Good timing on the Mighty Wind pic, as that movie was on Comedy Central earlier in the evening.

I was mildly amused by the interviews with all the upset/annoyed brits after the footage of the royal albert hall set.  I'm sure 30 years later most of those folks are bragging to their grandchildren about being there, yet that evening "Bob Dylan was a bastard in the second set."

It was on BBC2 last night as well, but I wasn't in the mood for it so gave it a miss.

Oh yes, they certainly do.  And the frustration is that they'll spend 10-12 minutes or more on the pledge drive part in the middle of the program (which they typically do 3 - 4 times per two hour program) -- hawking the same promotional items every minute or two (for a $100 donation, you get Suze Orman's book PLUS the one-of-a-kind fanny pack with secret money pocket).  I'm not besmirching PBS, but it's annoying when it's during a show you're trying to watch.  Taping and skipping is the way to go (or Tivo, of course).
