David Byrne created (back in November) a list of protest songs throughout the years:

I think the list is pretty good, but the Amazon referral links seem a little tacky to me.

People bullshit how they prefer meddle or animals or wywh but at the end dark side trumps them all... the opening trio is unreal

I had an MRI today. I was told I could choose the music, was offered spotify mixes of Spa, Classical, Big Band, 80s Rock, 80s Hits, or 90s Rock or Hits. I Chose 80s rock.

Realized immediately, during the 8 plus minute first song, that something was amiss.

Playlist included:

 November Rain
 Smells Like Teen Spirit
 Sweet Child o' Mine
 Losing My Religion
Some Aerosmith song I cannot identify

They will get a very negative Yelp review for sure.

Andres Calamaro- Salmonalipsis Now

A 2cd compilation from his 5cd album El Salmon that came out in 2000... has about 5 previously unreleased tracks taken from the same sessions

El Salmon is my favorite all time album so it’s hard to listen to a compilation taken from it as you get used to the sequencing and the flow of the album

A year ago I felt like my personal world was crashing, now I feel like the world I brought my kid into is crashing. I don’t know which is worse.

Bob Marley Uprising was good to hear this morning.

Shane MacGowan and the Popes - The Crock of Gold

Better than I remembered but I guess since it is his last album of new songs you have to get into it sometime
