The unsinkable Fats Domino cut so many great records on Imperial...I am getting close to having them all

Leonard’s most obscure album?
Does that one contain cheesy synth and drum machine sounds?

Nope

After this came out in 79 he didn’t do anything til 84 which is when the cheesy synth thing began..

The record company refused to release the 84 album in the US ...Hallelujah was on it

The CEO of Columbia famously told Cohen when Leonard went to see him to beg he release album in US: We know you’re great Leonard, but is it any good?

Fun fact: Raffi is part of Cohen’s band on Recent Songs

I know a good song is a good song no matter what, but I have a tough time getting past those sonic choices. So glad I got to hear him perform those songs live on that last hurrah. That band was phenomenal and perfect in every way.
