Rinocerose- Installation Sonore
This is an album only I seem to love... French house/ electronica circa 99...no vocals...some flute seems to be a distinguishing feature...I tend to hate flute but it works here
Sent to me by a record club on my last subscription to one of these...there are a few really cool tracks on it Le mobilier, Mes vacances a Rio, Le guitaristic house organisation, Sublimior, Radiocapte, etc In fact album starts out awesome but fades a. It on second half or I don’t have the attention span!? I think it’s fair to say it’s front loaded
I like it better than Daft Punk or Cassius’ debuts...not as much as Air’s debut but it’s dancier and I think I have listened to it more the past twenty years
Unfortunately the next few albums by these guys were clunkers...and they faded fast....by 2002... I read they are psychologists by day
Now I dig it out every few years for a spin...I need to upgrade to vinyl but I have all the key 12” singles and the mini album that preceded it and has the best tracks from this on it so maybe not unless it have $40 to burn
