If nothing else, you can always count on this guy for a good headline.  :D

D.C.'s Marion Barry arrested again

Perhaps the Barry documentary has been mentioned here? If so, I missed it. I saw it advertised - Airs on HBO Aug. 10.

NYPD on high alert for 50 Cent event in Queens
Rapper will appear at 'Family Day' on August 30

The New York Police Department is reportedly on high alert for an upcoming event featuring 50 Cent, set to take place in the rapper?s native neighbourhood of Queens, NY.

The ?surprise? event, which is scheduled for August 30, is expected to be attended by 10,000 people, and one NYPD source says that the police will not be able to control the area:

"We can't control the area," a law-enforcement source told the New York Post, adding that it?s "an outdoor event -- people could walk in from anywhere."

When contacted, the New York Police Department said they would have adequate police presence.

Police are planning to shut down a 20-block radius in the South Jamaica neighbourhood of the borough. The event is sponsored by the New York Restoration Project, an organisation founded by actress Bette Midler and 50?s G-Unity Foundation.

The day will feature games, festivities and educational features including clinics and a facility to apply for driving permits

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, survived a shooting in Queens in 2000 in which he was hit nine times. The incident remains unsolved.

Although he has not been officially confirmed to perform, his publicist Keesha Johnson has said he will make an appearance.

Kumar Robbed at Gunpoint in D.C.

Gotta love some of the comments...we truly are a nation full of geniuses.

4. So why was that idiot out walking in DC at that time of night? He was asking for it.

10. Doesn't he work for Obama? If so, then I am glad this happened. If not, then I am sad.

36. I can't resist, but this is a perfect example of "the Change you Can Believe In". What a pleasure it is to hear about the fleeching one of the Oh-Bomb-Ah's personnel aides. He is getting the same treatment him and the Administration he works for is doing to us EVERYDAY with their TARP, Bail Outs, Oh-Bomb-Ah-Kare, Cap-N -Tax, and Socialisit Agenda. I am glad the armed citizen did a little "re-distribution of wealth" like his Prez did to GM, Chrysler, the Banks, and small business. Now Mr. Penn, how is that "Hope And Change" you helped bring to Washington working out for you?

Apparently, it doesn't take much for TMZ to consider someone a rock legend.

i think this guy is neat

Celebrity Rehab alum and bazillionare socialite Jason Davis has pled not guilty to felony heroin possession Monday morning in connection with his arrest back in January in Newport Beach, CA.

Bold move considering he was charged with being under the influence of heroin and "narcotic analgesic, as well as possession.

If found guilty, Jason faces up to 3 years in prison.

Well, if his lawyer is as good as a bazzillion dollars can buy, then we're assuming he will get a slap on the wrist and be forced to appear in another reality show about drug addiction.
