It's why they named their first album 'Ten.'  That was Blaylock's uniform number.

The band Pearl Jam was first known around Seattle as Mookie Blaylock until the player forced the band to change its name.

Pearl Jam is going to prison.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/11773840/mookie-blaylock-receives-prison-sentence-fatal-crash

Three years. As I've said time and time again, knives and guns are amateur hour. If you really want to kill someone, hit them with your car in some way. Run them down as they're walking the street or just slam into them while they're driving. If you can do three years prison, which seems to be about the average sentence for vehicle-on-human violence, you'll get off.

My advice is not applicable outside the US.

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd is no longer facing a charge of attempting to procure murder in New Zealand.

There was insufficient evidence to support the charge and it has been withdrawn, Tauranga Crown Solicitor Greg Hollister-Jones said in a statement. Rudd?s lawyer, Paul Mabey, said the charge should never have been laid and Rudd is ?considering any possible remedies.?
