There's a massive difference between myself being a jerk to people who act like douchebags and you being contrarian just for the hell of it.

this is exactly what i am referring to; what i like.  the people on here that decide to jerk out on occasion always seem to have a great deal of reason behind doing so.  it's never, like, "i've-got-a-bunch-of-sand-up-my-vagina-today-so-i-think-i'll-bash-you."

and it would be really sweet if we had honorary parades...

these are really important for when you wake up the morning after, and have like five stamps re-printed all over your face, neck, and arms.
haha - been there.  I've also awoke to stamp marks on my wall and headboard.

I've met badsushi, and I can attest to her not being a "douchebag". She was actually quite nice in person.

I think it's a lot worse to insult people you're actually acquainted with than it is to insult complete strangers, but we've had that debate before.

I don't think chasing away BadSushi so much makes me "the board jerk" as it does "the board member most deserving of a parade in their honor".

Oh wow. I can relate to a few.
Also, anyone travel for work and manage to manuever your travel conveniently for shows? (and visit record stores?)
-When I say "club" or "show" people assume 9:30.
-The stamp thing has been a non-issue...except I almost bleed when trying to scrub remove. (Use eye / make-up remover.)
-Missed a family function for a show. After awhile it's understood.
-Yes, I must confess to increasing need for show-going comfortability. Already mocking plans for how I'll manage cameras, etc. for upcoming festivals.   :p

I have my work's schedule and Pollstar bookmarked next to each other on my screen so I can flash back and forth when I see something I like.  I have to explain to my wife that this is "very, very important."
I used to bring an extra shirt in the car so when some punk kid (like myself, I guess) spilled beer all over me while flying through the crowd, I'd have a backup to wear at some after-show location, so I wouldnt smell like piss.  Nowadays I just bitch and moan at the whippersnappers.
 I don't have a "concert purse".
If its that at 33 imagine what it is like at 50!

A Reston, Virginia, woman is attempting to break a Guinness World Record by listening to jam bands, steel drums and country music, as she tries to see the most live concerts in a single week.

Current record holder: tie between everyone whose ever seen Phish, a Grateful Dead offshoot, or Ween.

Never let it be said I doubt the abilities of drugs and alcohol but I cannot honestly believe they'd make it any better.
