Which makes me wonder why they get so much good press for this album?

I am beginning to think most British bands shouldnt be alowed to make more than three albums......

Radiohead and blur would also fit nicely into that.

I agree that the current album isn't as good as the rest. But it is still good music.

(BTW: I also stand up for Saturday Night Live we everyone bashes the show. Nostalgia, I guess.)

"There is a time when you have it, and then you lose it, and you can never get it back"

"But I think his later records are alright"

"yeah, they may be alright, but inside you know they're just... shite"

I hope they play old stuff as well but nothing will top their 1st (?) show at 9:30 -- the one with the dreadful & departed Stabbing Westward and some other act I've blocked out.  They played almost all of the first album.  Our Lady of the Flowers was crushingly beautiful.

I certainly hope the crowd is better than last time -- nothing but rude, pogoing Eurotrash and an unfortunate goth-lite Lollipop Kid contingent.

the first time the band was great but the crowd was much worse than the second time.....

"dude is that guy, like, gay"

 "dude, he is gay"

 DUDE YOU'RE GAY"

fucking genius stabbing westward fans.... As if stabbing westward was not a gay enough band name anyway.

Hopefully with Placebo slipping out of general popularity, the crowd will be more true fans.

Who say, "Oh wow, I hope he's gay!"

Must second our dear Andrew/Markie...the new album is very blah.  Even if they play a good selection from the first two, it still might not be worth $20 to stand through all the new stuff.

I thought the show was pretty darn good, the sound towards the back could have shattered glass it was so sharp.  All in all, I thought the new songs are pretty good, the older material was a lot of fun to hear.  Always helps when the show is free too of course!   :)

I agree.  Much better than their last tour.  The set list sucked but they sounded great.  Unfortunately, I somehow got sidetracked by a pretty girl, gin and tonics, and a candy necklace.  Woke up with an email address on my hand that I can't decipher.  I think it says surfer rosa.
