Played from around 10ish till ?  Had to catch train at 11:45 and they were still going strong.  A sweet show, with far more active participation from band members, particularly percussionists and bass guitar, than previous shows, and they mixed it up well with their various vocalists.  The Brazilian guy (?) was a high point, and their ability to keep the beats evolving while ramping up the energy throughout the show.  Makes me even more dissatisfied with bands that have no stage presence, or energy on stage.  And final note, while the floor was hopping, there sure were a lot of buttoned up people standing stock still looking hip.

Was it mostly stuff off Cosmic Game or a pretty fair sampling of all their material?

so no opener? interesting. would have thought they would have brought one of the other peeps from the label. they've had thunderball and nicola conte open for them before.

i bet there set was 2-2.5 hours. they generally put in at least a 2 hour set.

THey came on stage just after 10PM and played until midnight, with 2 encores.  They came out the second time even though half of the floor crowd had filed out.  Great show...no opening act needed!

Excellent show last night.  Came on around 11, ON TIME, and played until well past 1 a.m.

 Insane energy.

One thing I noticed for the first time -- nice police officer standing in front of the exit to the parking lot, sort of a sobriety check point.

 Not cool.

did you notice that the bass was way too powerful for the first 15 min? we had to totally  clear out in front of the speakers.

that crowd was nuts, at least where i was up front-one giant love in with people dancing the entire time. (*note to self: do not wear open toe shoes tonight)

and if you both read this bb-big thanks to neil in the black shirt and the blond guy in the green diesel shirt who helped me avoid beginning squashed by that crazy freak dancer that was in front of me and the absolutely drunk guy to my left.

 j'mal,you going tonight as well?

It is cool if they kept someone from driving home drunk and killing themselves or someone else.

Lily1, sure hope I wasn't the tall guy that almost crushed you dancing. If so excuse me, belatedly. On that subject, if couples are going to get busy on the floor, take it to the side or the wall instead of stumbling, crashing and falling all over the people around you. Some of us would rather not join in.

Finally, great show last night, wish I had tickets for tonight too. My ears are still muffled a bit from the bass up front.

oh sweet jesus, that show last night was EVEN BETTER than friday night. and that is quite the feat to top friday's performance.

they could have played for a week and sold out every single night! there was nothing but love, love, love in that crowd.

they fixed the bass problem, and though it was the same set list entirely, they changed up the arrangements a bit. are they recording for either a video or a dvd, rather than archival performances? they had all the singers and rappers come out in exactly the same outfits for every single song, from the night prior. hey, if there's a tour dvd, i am ALL OVER that.

THANKS SETH! one night was good, two nights was great, but 3 nights-incredible. Nothing like a hometown club supporting a hometown band-best combo around. definitely the best show i've seen all year, or its in the top 3.

Sweet Jesus is right.  Now I've been there, done that, ain't  never goin' again to a TC show.  The World Music part was really interesting, and the sitar was screaming, but when the Ambercrombie crowd upstairs hit their millionth Red Bull and Vodka, all hell broke loose.  Obviously Thievery Corp=blindly drunk fans.

I've NEVER seen the 930 so trashed...the downstairs ladies loo was destroyed.  I feel really sorry for the staff and Seth too...bet it costs mucho bucks to get those toilet paper/paper towel stuffed johns repaired. The rave-fans obviously don't have much respect for other people - or other people's property.  Bahhhh

LOLOL. Are you saying that all those Punk Rockers are much more respectful and considerate compared to the Abercrombie & Fitch crowd?

Actually, doesn't surprise me one tiny bit. Back in the day, it was almost always the Preppies who later changed their Punk hating aggressive attitudes who were the worst of the worst. It was almost funny how they use to hate Punks and try to (and sometimes would) kick the shit out of any Punk Rocker yet, almost overnight, went Punk themselves, minus the wardrobe and major lifestyle adjustments. They were almost always a pain in the ass.

wow, that is totally different than the crowd where i was badsushi, downstairs. it was so packed in, and everybody so wanted to dance, that very few people ever had drinks in their hands the entire night, except for the brave few who dodged their way over to get water for folks since it was so hot.

sorry to hear that your experience was far from stellar.

trying to figure out the names of the encore songs from TC Sat. night, if anyone can help me out.   Actually, one song in particular.  all i can remember is that the lyrics had a countdown of numbers, maybe, possibly.  like "three and two and ONE!"  people sang along.  it was towards the end.  distinct, loud beats.  clearly i'm not being very helpful with this, but any ideas?  thanks.
