Well, I view people who smoke in public to be completely obnoxious.  There; I said it.

So, a lot of you are probably going to hate me due to the fact that I said what I did, but I stand by what I said very firmly.
Secondhand smoke is dangerous to others, and it makes me want to puke when I see smokers blowing it into young childrens faces.

Not me...I have plenty of friends that smoke, and yes; sometimes I willingly surround myself with them, for their company.  I'm not going to hate you because you smoke.  I just personally feel that it should only be legal in the privacy of your own home.

My grandmother smoked for about 60 years.  She finally quit.  Got breast cancer and died within the year.  On her death bed said, "I should have kept on smoking, I wasted a year not smoking."

yea, yea, so she maybe got the cancer from smoking, so what, she lived a very healthy life until she died at 85.

Good for all you non-smokers and people who hate it.  You're right.  But I'm more fun.   :D     It's common knowledge that smokers are smarter and have more fun.  Go to any party; the smokers standing outside are having better conversations and laughing more than the risk-averse non-smokers inside.     :p      :p

See, I'm not risk-averse.  I'm just smart.

Cigarette smoking probably reduces the general level of fart gas, since the prevalence of all those open flames will help burn off the methane.

This has never been established to the satisfaction of science, despite numerous medical studies.  What's the source of your new info?

Are you worried about carbon dioxode levels and melting Antarctic ice sheets too..?

Where does your deep distrust of climate change come from given that you spend 24 hours a day looking at bizarre websites?

well, there are studies going on at uc-davis about the effect of methane released by cows (either through farts or gas released while chewing cud) on the atmosphere of the central valley of california.  initial studies show that methane released from cows is a larger contributor of smog than car exhaust.  so, in fact, yes, farting (and the methane released) does contain known risks.

Wouldn't everyone going vegetarian mean less dead cows and therefore more cow methane in the air?
