Darkness tickets were going on eBay for ~$175/pair right after the sellout and fell to ~$100/pair right before the show.

Death Cab ticket prices also fell as the date got closer.

Ya think?  A lot of people panic as soon as a show sells out. This might actually be the best time to sell. [/b]

I think you're right - when I was selling LOTR tix on ebay in Nov/Dec, the winning bids actually declined as Trilogy Tuesday approached

Well the tickets haven't come in the mail yet. I'm not going to sell something I don't tangibly yey have.

I sure hope you let celeste negotiate the house deal.

Your hopes have come true.

I did most of the work finding the place; she did most of the work negotiating for it.

I agree. Some sign onto a website for a chance to get a ticket to the one or two shows they will go to all year. Example being JT...

wow, who knew that many people really liked those guys, haha, don't get me wrong, I'm a fan, but doesn't seem like everytime they put out a new album that it's supposed to the best thing since the White Album and it just never lives up to the hype!!! haha

Love that poster.  Alas, I only get posters for bands I love...     ;)

PS, they should a cicada or two flying about the monument...in the foreground so you can see that they're cicadas.

Will there be an opening act and who will it be?

We made a guy very happy the other day by selling our two extra tickets to him. I didn't get to meet him, but if you're reading this, thanks and hope you have a great time.

If you read the comments, the designer (Heads of State) says Wilco commissioned it.  It will be an edition of 1000.

I agree that there is a dearth of good gig posters for DC shows.

Maybe I just have a short attention span, but is there a place on this site to order posters?  Scanning through I've seen several that would make good gifts for friends, but I can't find any info about buying them...

The gigposters site just displays them.  If you see one you like, you have to go to the designer's site to purchase. That site can be found by clicking on the little house icon on the left side of the page on which the poster is displayed.

Not every poster is for sale, but many of them are.
