stick to the chicken fingers or the pizza. those items are passable, the rest of the menu is downright foul. if you're driving over there, eat at the fantastic afghan restaurant, that's called, simply, "afghan restaurant" that you'll drive right by before after potomac yard and right before you take the right on (can't remember the name of the street), to get to the birchmere.

No, but I saw Thatguy...Rollins is great, but I hate to argue with the guy's memory...the Wedrock show he was talking about was last autumn, but Johnny Ramone died in 2003, thus he must have confused his trip to DC with another time he was out there. Still, he is a great story-teller. Had a really fun time. Those of you going to the Black Cat tonight will have a blast. He's a trip.

so......how was the food then?

Last time I went it was only slightly better than the attitude of the wait staff, which was vile.

Actually you can head over to Del Ray, right up Mt. Vernon Ave and only about 5 minutes in a car and there are several restaurants that are good.

I wanted to get up and beat the crap out of the dude who wouldn't stop clapping. It was really rude. As for the food, the nachos were actually quite good, the pizza wasn't great though. The upside was getting a fairly decent table and Henry went on promptly at 7:30. You gotta love his punctuality.

what do u think of henry's dysfunctional schtick? he's really well adjusted [aside from examining and tasting the components of puke] and a good guy some how i dont go for the whole persona he puts out of being dysfunctional wreck. i bet he is or would be a good friend and bf/husband.

 thoughts?

what r his books like? insightful?
