We need a TV thread dont we?
« on: October 20, 2005, 08:03:00 am »
Not about the hardware, but the stuff that appears on that glowing screen...

So I'm laughing my keister off these days to
 My Name Is Earl
 How I Meet Your Mother
 Everybody Hates Chris
 The Office (US version)
 The Robinsons (BBCAmerica)

My Name Is Earl and How I Meet Your Mother are both getting funnier with each episode.

Can't wait for the return of Prison Break, Robot Chicken in 2006 and it's first season DVD.

Need to catch up on Extras and will agree that Kate Winslet's appearence on that show was most excellent.

Also enjoying watching the old seasons of Homicide via Netflixs.  That was some quality work and makes me eager to see the next season of "The Wire".

My Tivo is set to record weekly:
 Arrested Development
 The Soup
 War At Home
 Family Guy
 Boston Legal
 Numb3rs
 The O.C.

Boston Legal is maybe the most underrated show on television. Hilarious.

like numb3rs as well... boston legal is a victim of there being too much on worth watching already... haven't paid attention to ER much lately, the continous stream of over-the-top promos for each episode is wearing thin.  however, John Leguizamo joins the cast for a lenghty story arc which could be good.

oh and the Colbert Report just started on Comedy Central.  also like Best Week Ever on VH1, best way to watch those reality shows   ;)

hmmm will have to check that out... anyone watch the David Spade show, The Showbiz Show on CC?  The clips they air during the Daily Show are funny, but i'm wondering if there just the cream of the crop.

Ditto on My Name Is Earl and Everybody Hates Chris. Imagine that, not one but two sitcoms that are actually funny. Now if they would just get Scrubs back on the air already...

While I like that they're taking a slightly different approach rather than just aping the UK version 100%, I'm disliking how they're giving the audience reasons to feel for him.

Maybe it's because I hate my boss worse than I hate little kids in sunglasses (which is A LOT), or maybe it's because I only watched the first season of the UK version, but I would prefer him to be completely without redeeming qualities.

I used to play ice hockey, but of late, I've tried to shy away from it because of a nagging knee injury.

I meant hockey more in the "go see games, play fantasy hockey, chat incessantly about hockey" vein.
