Didn't they wait until later to announce the Cure a few years ago?

They dragged out the band announcements all week (like 3-4 per day) and the Cure was on the last day. Clearly they were not doing that format this year.

No, along with most everyone else here, I don't think the Cure are a crappy band.  The comment just set itself up for a witty retort.

well, i would think most soccer moms would be between 27-35 right?

that would put them in high school when Cypress Hill came out.  so i would imagine most soccer moms have heard of Cypress Hill   :)  [/b]
as an accomplished and experienced stereotyper, i've gotta call you out on this one ... soccer moms generally refer to upper-middle-class, over-protective, political moderates with socially conservative leanings, more like the tipper gore types who try to protect their children from monsters like kanye west ... and i'd guess the age would be more like 30-42 (most "soccer moms" are college educated, get their MRS degree, so i'm guessing have kids no earlier than 23-24)

i would assume that true soccer moms listen to crap like coldplay, michael buble, and james blunt ... but most importantly, they don't really care about music, it's just on as background sound and the filler in between those hilarious morning DJs ... maybe the more adventurous of them have discovered snow patrol or keane or other travis knockoffs

 but definitely not kanye.

That's definitely a bad line up.  I wonder if there was some other factor at play, such as a limited budget for booking bands, or Kayne demanding a high fee that ate up the budget for other bands.  I hope they didn't intentionally set out to create this line-up.

It's sad when the Chili Cookoff lineups blows the HFSestival away.

I actually don't mind JCS.  They're definitely one of the lesser evils in the lineup.

The line up might not be representative of the station's play list, but it is representative of some of the lesser acts in music.
(I acknowledge that the Strokes are not a lesser act, but I have no personal interest in seeing them)
