I believe it was the mayor of Biloxi, MS, which took a direct hit. He was referring to his town, not America as a whole.

I wasn't aware Biloxi even had 250,000 residents to perish.

I don't believe the death toll has even approached a few hundred, much less a quarter million.

It didn't.  However, it's a matter of scale, which would require some critical reasoning skills to understand, so I won't waste my time trying to explain it to you.

Don't worry, you can still comfort yourself with the idea that several dozen Americans are dead.

Thanks to the proper use of technology.

However, I think you will see damage in total dollars reach a pretty high level.

The exact quote was "This is America's tsunami", and it was from a doodle correspondent.

I just found it stupid, over-stated and very self centred....but could we really expect anything else going by the country of origin.

Well, we're so sorry our little disaster doesn't measure up to your standards, sir.  I'm afraid we doodles just can't compete with them Asians on hardly anything any more.  This is the best we've been able to do in the last nine months.  We'll try to get to work on something more, uh, disastrous to make it up to you.    :p

Ah fuck off.

Your whole doodle trip is so tired by now now.  Isn't it good enough that you left this awful place?
