why not?

anyway...you probably can't say what record shop you work at (did I infer correctly that you work in a record shop)...can you? is it DCCD?

does anyway else here experience the odd phenomenon of shitty music being played in record shops nine out of ten times you're in one?

I can see the comparisons between YHF and Radiohead. Lott of bleeps and processed sounds, not very earthy or organic in sound.

If YHF were the only Wilco album I had ever heard, I can admit that I probably wouldn't like it very much. It's a bit different than the stuff that I really prefer.

But given that I loved their early stuff, I can fathom the evolution of the band, and like the new stuff, even if it's not as much as the older stuff.

I guess that makes me the opposite of the people who came to love the old stuff only after loving the new stuff (as Bob Pollard pointed out).

They're only full of bull once a month, when they're in heat.

I don't think Sonick would be caught dead in DCCD, not enough mainstream selection.

The English are just so angry aren't they http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_808431.html?menu=news.latestheadlines

But that lasts them the whole month.

Let's play them some Wilco then if they don't produce milk, it means they don't like Wilco and therefore must be stupid...right?

I bet their favorite band is "Milko"  :D

So in this case, first impressions really shouldn't be applied to what they sound like now.

i saw Wilco in 1999 (i think or circa) and in July 2003 and i just dont like em.  perhaps i wouldnt be so hard on them, if people didnt get so g-darn upset when someone says they suck  ;)

It is ok, but I really prefer Domestica, the new one is probably better from a songcraft point of view, but doesnt have the same effect as Domestica
