Bodysnatchers is great, though it could easily have been written by Pearl Jam (that's not an insult, BTW).

I have to say that tune and "Jigsaw" are my faves, so place me firmly in the verse/chorus/verse camp.

All of them.  I thought this Board looked down on the provinces.  No? Just me?

Ok.  Cut the BS.  Do you have to be drunk, stoned and/or high as a kite to enjoy this album?

 Brian

P.S.  Follow-up.  Are the drugs you have to take to enjoy this album mainly ones that will keep you awake?

Quick - somebody tell me the last album to go platinum on the day it was released?

 http://www.gigwise.com/news/37670/exclusive-radiohead-sell-12million-copies-of-in-rainbows

 Gigwise Exclusive:

Radiohead Sell 1.2 Million Copies of "In Rainbows"

Gigwise has learnt that Radiohead have sold an amazing 1.2million copies of their seventh album â??In Rainbows.â??

The band and their long-term management company Courtyard Management have remained tight lipped about the exact sales figures, seemingly in a bid to add to keep a mysterious air around the album.

But speaking to a source close to the band last night, weâ??ve discovered that the Oxford band have achieved this monumental sales figure.

Even if every person who downloaded the album paid just 10 pence, the band will still rake in a massive £120,000. That figure is likely to be higher, with many speculating the average figure will even out at around the £1 mark.

With growing media hype around the release of â??In Rainbowsâ??, these unprecedented sales figures look certain to keep on rising. If they finally announce a world tour, audience figures are expected to be higher too.

Thom Yorke and co. will cash in again when the payments clear for the â??In Rainbowsâ?? box set which are on sale for £40 a go.

As expected, Radiohead are the clear victors of this radical way of releasing their album. Their success should prompt other big names to follow suit.

It use to happen when awards were based on the number of units shipped, but not actually sold...  They have since then changed the rules to allow for things like actual sales numbers to be reported, returns, etc.

Calm down, man.  First off, it wasn't all in one day.  Furthermore, there's no regualted price NOR is there ANY way these numbers have been or can be confirmed.  The album's been available for more or less two weeks.  Plus these downloads have been available WORLDWIDE.  That averages out to, even assuming these numbers are anything close to accurate - which I'm quite sure they aren't, 600,000 copies a week. Kanye scanned 900,000 copies in the U.S. alone his first week out (9/11/07) with Graduation.  If you really wanna get techinical WORLDWIDE, 50 Cent's new Curtis LP just moved 2 million copies worldwide in the 1st week of release.  That's not shipped, that's actual soundscan numbers/units sold.  This shit is hardly unprecendented.  Just to answer your question.

*50 Cent's The Massacre was the last album to go platinum in 1 week.  1.1 Soundscanned copies in the 1st week of release.  2005, I believe.* (Norah Jones did it, too, but with her second album in '04.)

Can you please start doing some research before you shoot off these unfactual, biased, fanboy fantasies of yours???  I admire your loyalty to your favorite group & all.  It's as heartwarming as a Disney movie.  Plus I will concede even in disagreement & delusion, you are quite polite.

Just, facts man.  They're real important.  Facts, homey.

Dude, again, I didn't make ANY claim at all.  I asked a question, which you answered.  Calm yourself.

If you'd read my posts, as opposed to reading into them, you'd recognize that with maybe one exception (and even in that case - related to Radiohead's ticket sales compared to U2 - I didn't claim it to be fact) on this thread, I haven't claimed anything that I've said is "fact."
