Never heard of it before now but just looked them up. The Chipotle comparison is apt; calorie counts are slightly lower but that sodium is Chipotle-tastic.

Can you provide your favorite recipes as well; that avocado/egg thing sounds great.

The avocado thing is pretty easy. Cut an avocado in half (longways) and remove the pit. Crack two eggs in a bowl and scoop the yolks into the holes where the pit was. As you have room, fill the rest of the hole with egg-white and put a little egg-white coating on top too. If you want cheese, throw a little of that on there. (I didn't use cheese.) Bake in oven (still in the avocado skin) at 425 for about 15 minutes. Add chives and/or hot sauce to your personal taste.
Very simple and about 400 calories for an entire avocado and 2 eggs (more if you add cheese but it really doesn't need cheese).
-
Can you say a little bit more about the cheese?

I feel avocado is a very rich flavor on its own and does not need cheese to accent it. I think chives, a slice of tomato, and a little sriacha is a better accent for this dish. I'm pro-cheese in general though.

shouldn't you be prioritizing the whites over the yolks? i would start by pouring in the whites, then adding the beaten yolk as space allows.

No, you don't beat the yolks. You want to get the yolks in intact if at all possible. Going just egg-whites would probably be lower calorie, but you want that over-easy-esque yolk to interplay with the avocado.

Or, barring the addition of the yolk, you could just add cheese.

Fage? Chobani? Dannon? Stonyfield? Oikos? Flavors? Fat content? Calories?
My god man, your lack of details is infuriating!

For future reference, whenever I say "Greek yogurt", I mean a single-serving of plain Chobani which has 90 calories and 15g protein (no fat content), unless otherwise stated.

OMG you should totally try the Fage 2% with honey. dats da bomb - da yogurnt bomb!

Thanks. Will try this soon.

Does it come with the honey already mixed in or are you suggesting mixing honey with plain Fage 2% yogurt?
I actually really like the taste of plain Greek yogurt unlike, seemingly, everyone else on earth.
-
you must only eat siggis yogurt, if you are going to eat it. least amount of sugar, and most amount of protein. so, there.

It comes with honey that you stir in. I suppose you don't have to use all the honey they provide, but why would you ever do that.

I've never heard of this brand but I just looked them up and the nutritional information for their single serving 0% plain yogurt is virtually identical to the Chobani sitting in my mini-fridge. Same calories, protein, and sugar. Sodium is extremely close too.

plain yogurt. good lord, man.

That is like the complete opposite of luxury. for someone who hates themselves, or food. its like punishment.
-
for someone who hates themselves
or is it the opposite? they love themselves so much that they're willing to put up with the travesty that is plain yogurt in exchange for by-passing the calories?

Self-denial =/= luxurophilia

- Hummus with cucumber slices and carrot chips
- Pickled beet slaw with slivered almonds

I too like the tart taste of a good plain yogurt, so it's not a punishment for me
I will chop up a strawberry or add small scoop of granola

while their are calories, nutrition (and flavor) are very dense in the yokes
you'd be better off eating all the yolk and cutting your calories some where else

Red. To the best of my knowledge, although I am not a licorice connoisseur, I do not believe Twizzlers makes black licorice.
EDIT: A quick google search has informed me they do make black licorice and said licorice has apparently been the subject of recalls.

Twizzlers are not licorice.

Yeah, if you're not eating this, you're just messing around.

I read an article a few months back where people eat extremely similar lunches daily (or at least during the week). I've found it to work for me. I generally have a piece of fruit, 2 hardboiled eggs, and a greek yogurt during my workday.

Well, the sheer doldrums of your midday repast do make us all long for the fascinating variety in your sumptuous evening meal.

I cannot wait for the greek yogurt post.
Since we're sharing, I had a whole blaze pizza with classic red sauce, parmesean, sausage, bacon, sauteed onions, spinach, kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, arugula and pesto drizzle. 1,010 calories, 52g fat, 94g carbs, 37g protein, 2.7g sodium.

I finally went on a day where I was able to buy something to take home. The "it sells out for the week in 30 minutes" thing it had going appears to be dying down so if anyone sees a limited release they'd like me to grab for them, let me know.

Don't mean to threadjack, but...
Haven't really been following the Veil availability very closely, but if I were there on a Sunday afternoon, would there be any IPA/DIPA cans available or are cans all gone by then?

This is the first week where any cans (which are released every Tuesday) remained at the end of Tuesday. They have everything on tap on the weekends (and offer 6oz pours if you want to try several without being too drunk to drive) but take home appears to be a mid-week only thing. (Their "limited releases" are apparently gone within an hour of opening on Tuesdays according to my beer-aficionado friends who leave work early for this. The Master Shredder I was able to get a 4-pack of is their default, we-make-this-all-the-time IPA.)
