I'm in total agreement with what you're saying.

When I was in the market, I was looking for someone who could potentially be both my partner AND my best friend. I think some men don't care so much about the best friend part. They want someone who looks good and has an agreeable personality. They can find their best friend in another guy.

That being said, I've learned to live with the fact that my wife/best friend will always love Steely Dan.

I just don't get people who are like "oh, I wouldn't date anyone who likes ________," or people who won't date a girl unless she likes football. That's so stupid. Football is not the be all and end all of the world.

I guess being a little older I see things slightly different, it's true I've dated a lot of women that share virtually none of my interests, but it was purely physical, they were normally "hot" so that was enough.  It never lasted very long, which was fine, because like the Director is feeling his oats today, I was also free agent and really didn't care.

But for me a relationship has to have some key things, "deal makers" we can call them that are necessary to just be able to deal with me. If you don't like sports, you can never understand why I'm so passionate about it and yell at the TV or spend stupid amounts of cash on tickets.

Likewise if you don't like music, well there's no reason to explain that one..., or able to talk about world events, politics, travel, etc.  those are the bare necesities to have any kind of conversation witih me.

Someone I'm dating doesn't have to march in lock step with me, but without some commonality it's really just a booty call and won't last more than a few weeks.

So I can understand your perspective, because I've been there, but in a few years I think you'll start seeing deal breakers for what they really are. Unless Ms. Jr. South Carolina accepts a wedding proposal before you come to your senses. [/b]

You're one to talk, considering I've actually seen your picture from when you're in your 20's. You talk a good game, but a looker you're not.   :p

It's not simply how one looks, but how one carries oneself.  I don't doubt that the Director only beds the finest women.

When I met up with vansmack at Duffy's a couple of weeks ago, a shadowy, shaded figure passed by me.  Vansmack said "that was the Director. His name is xxx, but I don't think a common name is good enough for him; he deserves a title like the Director."

But really, I think that the moral of all this is that anyone who ever meets The Director will inevitably begin the use of 'true story.'

I wouldn't stretch it that far, but I do okay for myself.  Put it that way.

BTW, LMAO @ "shadowy, shaded figure".  Sounds like I'm in a Sherlock Holmes novel & shit . . .

Oh yeah.  Speaking of which. The brothel says you overpaid Trixie the other night.  They got a $100 credit waiting with bnyce's name on it.

Nah, that's only when "fair & exact" reporting comes into play with Billy & 'em.  Last I checked he wasn't employed by Fox News . . .     :D

Plus, (ladies moreso) we're all black when the lights go out.  True storyâ?¢.

It feels odd to say, but Mandy Moore.  She seems to be growing into a lovely lady and person.  Plus I've always had a thing for amazons.

I didn't care for the tat'ed up version that appeared on How I Met Your Mother, otherwise I would concur.
