They just added a Trader Joe’s to the downtown area of Richmond (which is something of a food desert - tons of grocery stores but all on the periphery of the city) and the lines have just been completely comical. I like Traders just as much as the next person but it’s been so over the top. Just drive 12 minutes to the existing Traders Joes, people.

Getting super ass hyped over grocery stores is peak middle-class white people shit.

Or not having a car.  I've had to wait in some stupid crazy grocery lines.

I got to say the TJ’s lines can look insane but move fast! Many people get just a few items

also, TJ's makes everyone queue in a single line... so instead of 5 lines with 10 people each, you have one line with 50 people.  so it looks more impressive, but you're actually slightly better off since you won't be stuck in the one line out of the 5 that has a slow cashier.

Confession: I've been inside a trader Joe's once about 15 years ago.

Towson TJ's they dont do the single line bit. There are always many very fast moving lines. The parking lot though: Closest I have come to death as a pedestrian.
