"danny says" - the life and times of danny fields
ramones, iggy, v.u., nico, doors, alice., etc.
Did anyone see the Iggy Pop and Jim Jarmusch on Stooges Doc 'Gimme Danger'

I did, it had a one-night showing at the Byrd Theatre here. Great film. Ann Arbor royalty + Jim Jarmusch, what could be better? Highly recommend tracking it down.

Many (20? More?) years ago I was once walking in the East Village (maybe it was the LES?) and noticed a beautiful woman (NYC has a few of those), and the guy she was with, carrying a grocery bag, was Jim Jarmusch.

What am I going to do? My kid has been talking about "A Dog's Purpose" for months, and now PETA is telling me I should boycott it.

The Lobster
Fantastic film. Have you seen Dogtooth (the writer/director's previous film)?

I have seen both. Both are great works of art, if not entertainment. Dogtooth was a little more than my wife could bear.

Silence was solid but not spectacular.  A very "filmy" film.  Lots of great landscape shots and atmosphere.  But the best bet is to skip the movie and read the book. Its much too nuanced to translate very well to the screen, even in the hands of someone like Scorsese.

I haven't seen his other movies. Will check them out.

I also really liked Hidden Figures.
