I'm watching Shape of Water as I type this and I'm wondering how the hell did this stinker win Best Picture?

Apart from best production design and possibly best original score (I'd still give that one to PHANTOM THREAD or DUNKIRK), it really didn't deserve anything. Still okay with Guillermo getting director though as it was such a big middle finger to the studio system.

Leave No Trace - 8/10 - Different, in a good way.
Three Identical Strangers 7/10 - The filmmakers succeed in making a marginally interesting story into a very interesting story, but they can be a bit ham-fisted at times.  Pretty decent soundtrack.

This could have been cheesy but I think they did a good job of hitting all the right notes.

It's cool to have an 11 year old, I can finally go to films that I might actually pay to see anyway, instead of animated kid's films.
