TAN: Treme is a criminally underrated program. It is so, so good.

Underrated by who?!?

As I recall it was a hit and won tons of recognition

You all might find the first 5 minutes of Green Book interesting

Riveting performance Seth!   Excellent film.  Is that Tarantino knocking on your door?

Congratulations on the Golden Globe win last night, Seth. Is Green Book considered more of a musical or a comedy?

Golden Globe nominations….yes, Bohemian Rhapsody was entertaining….but best drama? Really? It got a 49 on metacritic…

And where the heck are any indie films? There were tons of good ones this year.

Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy
Crazy Rich Asians
The Favourite
Green Book
Mary Poppins Returns
Vice
Best Motion Picture – Drama
“Black Panther”
“BlacKkKlansman”
“Bohemian Rhapsody”
“If Beale Streat Could Talk”
“A Star Is Born

Apparently they let my daughter pick the best drama winner this year. I would have predicted Eighth Grade, but it wasn't nominated and alas she went with the critically panned Bohemian Rhapsody.

saw suspiria last night.  it's like, when American Horror Story ran into Eyes Wide Shut, and had good sex back at a very nice hotel.  not great sex.  but good, it will do, sex.

I say, as a big fan of the original, that your post is on point.

I found it underwhelming, the complete opposite of Free Solo.

I loved the Suspiria remake, and I haven't even seen the original.
Gf and I watched 'Polar' last night. Very much a 'Johann Wick' type of movie. Dumb but fun.

Mild recommendation for Lords of Chaos. Black Metal does not appeal to me in the slightest but I find the subject matter fascinating. Culkin gives a solid performance.
