interesting.

42 years after the original film, Mel Brooks returns with History of the World, Pt II.
It stars Seth Rogen, Danny DeVito, Richard Kind, David Duchovny, D'Arcy Carden, Quinta Brunson, Taika Waititi, and more.

Trailer is awful. Hopefully they're saving the better parts for the full episodes, but I don't have high hopes. At least Mel still looks and sounds well.

Pearl - Mia Goth deserves an Oscar nod for her performance. It's a prequel to X (which is currently streaming on Showtime). While X is a great straight-up slasher film, Pearl is more psychological thriller but they're both great flicks.

Thought it was spectacular. Cate Blanchett should get best actress for it. Hopeful it wins a writing award too as I bet Fields gets overlooked for Directing and the film turns into an also-ran for Best Picture.

Goth's 9-minute monologue alone makes her worthy of a nomination. While i love a good slasher flick and X delivers, Pearl is a superior technicolor nightmare. Can't wait for Maxxxine, which Goth just claimed has the best script of the trilogy.

It's excellent and worthy of a watch for Blanchett alone. Imagine it's the front-runner for best picture, but we all know how that story has gone as of late.

Amsterdam was horrible and I love the people associated with

although seeing Taylor Swift getting run over by a truck was worth the price of admission

this review nailed it
Great cast who all did the best they could with a lousy script, poor editing, and atrocious directing by David Russell

My Old School currently on Hulu

It's a documentary about 30 year old who goes back to his old primary school in Scotland and poses as a 17 year for two years there in 1995.  When it was discovered it got wide press coverage over there.  For whatever reason the subject while interview declined to have is face shown in the film, so Alan Cummings does the lip syncing for that.  So if you enjoy listening to Scottish accents as the students in his class and teach all do on camera interview, it's a interesting watch.  And yes the crude Beavis and Butthead animation used on occasion is a bit jarring it doesn't fully detract from this fascinating tale.

Emily the Criminal (Netflix) is an underrated gem.

The Banshees of Ed Sheeran (HBO) is as good as they say.

I never thought I'd enjoy a film where Patton Oswalt was the lead, but I Love My Dad (Hulu) was a hoot.

I didn’t get this. It wasn’t bad but it seemed like it very much was dedicated to hamfisting an Irish Civil War metaphor into its plot, in which, honestly really nothing happens for 105 minutes.

I would never watch this film a second time. I just don’t get the raves.
