Those ribbons
« on: November 23, 2004, 12:34:00 am »
I saw a car yesterday that had 4 of them.  There was a red one, the ubiquitous yellow one, a red/blue one, and a camo one, too!   Then I saw a blue one, "Pray for Delaware Correction Officers"...and I though that it signalled the deathknell of this fad.  And then I saw a pink one.  I wonder what the pink ones say?  "Support Our Gay Troops???"

If people want to contribute to charity or causes so bad, do they really need a fucking magnet?  Just right the check or volunteer stupid!  By putting that shit all over your car or wherever for that matter, all you're saying is that "I gave just so that I could show the world that I do something for the common good by putting this fucking magnet on my car so that everyone can see how nice I really am."  It is just as bad as the religious fish on cars.  Ugghhh!

Maybe they should have one that says "Wannabe Martyr"  and maybe that would cover everyone.

Sure...perhaps a truly selfless act is one that only you know about.  But is it so bad to put a ribbon on your car to spread awareness?

 Anyway....

What color ribbon is prostate cancer?  Is there a ribbon for herpes, as well?

That cannot be!  It is a blasphemy.

Blue is "pray for delaware correction officers".

Yeah and when will the cardboard re-election signs be taken off all the street lamps in DC?
