If you don't get an insane adrenaline rush whenever you hear a J Mascis solo (live or otherwise), I truly feel sorry for you. You should be pitied and ridiculed wherever you go.

:o  Sorry about that. I don't know the guy. He's been hanging around lately. Eventually, he'll get bored and move on.

Steven Lee Beeber | The Heebie-Jeebies at CBGB's: A Secret History of Jewish Punk

(Part of the Jewish Literary Festival)

 Tuesday, October 9, 8:00 pm
 $5
Venue: Black Cat, 1811 14th Street NW

Steven Lee Beeber will lead a panel discussion on the origins of punk rock. Among the panelists will be writers, producers and musicians from the DC punk scene.

Based in part on interviews with more than 125 peopleâ??including Tommy Ramone (The Ramones), Chris Stein (Blondie), and Hilly Kristal (CBGBâ??s owner)â?? Beeber argues that punk was the most Jewish of rock movements, in both makeup and attitude.  Rest of info

P.S.  Here's another one for you:

  Old farts to reunite

More contrarian adolescent verbal diarrea from our resident 8th grader.  You've grown more predictable than an episode of Scooby Doo.

Sorry you weren't alive in 1989 to enjoy the ferocity of j. mascis's electric guitar.

I'm sure you'll be first in line for the Fallout Boy reunion in 2021, and some little dork will say "dude, it's like 2021, not 2007".

Totally laughable that someone who listens to My Chemical Romance would knock Dinosaur Jr. Bet he's never heard a note from "Where You Been", and if he did, he'd crap his diapers. Dinosaur is the real deal, as I witnessed at the end of May in Chicago. Some of the heaviest stuff I've ever had the privilege of witnessing, and gorgeously loud. J Mascis is a REAL guitar player too.
