Looks like the "other" Cartel is coming to 9:30 on 2/26; just an FYI if Fico/others would like to show up to throw things at them.

You can go as early as 7:00, pay, get stamped and leave. Then go browse vinyl at Orpheus, used CDs at CD Cellar, books at Barnes & Noble, iPods at the Apple Store, or go eat somewhere.
 
 Also, you can skip the garage since there is usually plenty of free street parking within a couple of blocks.

i would totally jump at the chance to DJ this show, i'd play the entire real Cartel EP before the band hit the stage... Fico and co ought to passout copies of the cd outside the show.

ugh the tour "cartel" is going is called the  "SCREAMING IS FOR BABIES TOUR"... will each band be given pacifiers to shut them up?
 
 also i wanted more reason to hurl stuff at "cartel" but am not about to hand my email address to them and aol music to hear their "rendition" of "Rocking Around The Christmas Tree"... i'm guessin' its rather stinky.

It actually depends on the show. I've gone early before only to be turned away until the time doors open. But I do agree that there's plenty to do to kill time in Clarendon. And everything is very close, so you can keep checking back with Iota. As for parking, the garage on Highland is free and open late.

 I'm almost 100% sure that we won't be seeing Neko Case with the New Pornos - have to settle for Carl's niece, Kathryn Calder. Not a bad singer, but she's no Neko.

These will be really special shows. My guess is $40 a pop at the least. But they will be fantastic.

I doubt it. Newman had made comments last year that the fall 2005 tour would likely be the last with the full lineup. I can't see Bejar coming along for the ride without Destroyer opening.
