they are often mentioned with all the other Elephant 6 bands, so same kind of sound, but for some reason they just never won me over like Beulah, Elf Power, Neutral Milk Hotel, etc...

unconfirmed date for the Pernice Brothers/Long Winters show is April 15. No venue announced yet...and no mention whether Bigger Lovers are on the bill.
 
 lambchop appears NOT to be on the bill, as they are playing iota 4/11

So anybody know what the deal with the Richard Buckner show is?  Does that mean he is playing with the people listed or just putting his stamp of approval on them.  Do Freedy Johnston and Dale Watson really need his help?

You gotta believe it's some kind of playing together type spontanous duo deal.
 
 Same question could apply to Steve Forbert; he's been around for 25 yrs.
