What's the deal with all the good shows skipping DC and playing Baltimore instead?
Thanks

I am doing my part in getting these shows to DC, I let Lucero know about DC 9 last week, and I try and let artists I want to see know about all the venues in DC, I did the same thing with John Vanderslice, but he ended up going to Baltimore anyway, I was also trying to get Okkervil River to play DC9 but they responded that they will be playing Common Grounds again in Arlington with shearwater soon, of course since I live in walking distance of most of the dc venues these efforts are purely selfish  :D

I think Lucero has played the Velvet Lounge 3 times in the last year, so they may well be playing there again

Is Smog the type of band that would do a show with the Pernice Bros/Long Winters? That's the same date I heard for the DC date of that show (PB+LW), though nothing is listed on pollstar or either band's websites (plus pollstar has black cat listed for some other band that night, though it doesn't match the black cat online sched) Plus, the Pernice Bros/Bigger Lovers show at Ottobar appears to have been removed from schedule...I'm so confused///

I could see it happening, but would think smog would headline Iota.

I don't think (smog) would play with the Pernice Bros/Long Winters.

Smog is incredibly dark. I would love to see a smog will oldham ticket sometime.

Yes, seems that a Smog/LW/PB show would be too big of an affair for Iota.

The pollstar listing for Black cAt is wrong, so 4/15 is still open for the Cat. I'll keep my fingers crossed they get PB/LW.
